Pengaruh Latar Belakang PAUD terhadap Adaptasi Sekolah Siswa Kelas 1 Pasca COVID-19

Abstract

Adaptasi merupakan permasalahan serius yang dihadapi terutama pada minggu-minggu awal masuk sekolah. Siswa yang mengalami kesulitan beradaptasi cenderung menghadapi masalah dalam hubungan akademik dan sosial di tahap pendidikan selanjutnya. Keberhasilan adaptasi siswa di sekolah dipengaruhi oleh peran pendidikan keluarga dan pengalaman pendidikan anak usia dini sebelum masuk SD dan juga karakteristik siswa salah satunya gender. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi pengaruh latar belakang PAUD dan gender terhadap kemampuan adaptasi siswa kelas satu SD. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif ex-post facto. Sampel penelitian 116 siswa dari 40 sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Klaten.  Pengambilan data menggunakan instrumen kuesioner yang diisi oleh guru kelas satu sekolah dasar. Data kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis ANOVA 2-Jalan. Hasil dari penelitian ini diperoleh nilai signifikansi gender 0,010, latar belakang PAUD <0,001 dan interaksi gender*latar belakang PAUD 0,027, seluruh hasil tersebut menunjukkan < 0,05 sehingga menyatakan terdapat perbedaan antara latar belakang PAUD dan gender terhadap kemampuan adaptasi sekolah siswa kelas satu sekolah dasar. Implikasi penelitian diharapkan guru dapat lebih mengenal adaptasi sekolah siswa, menerapkan pendekatan pembelajaran sesuai kebutuhan siswa, serta dapat mengikuti pelatihan tentang strategi adaptasi siswa dalam masa transisi ke sekolah dasar, sehingga dapat lebih efektif dalam membantu siswa beradaptasi dengan lingkungan baru.
