“Tenangkan Tantrum Kendalikan Layar” : Strategi Pembatasan Penggunaan Media Anak Usia Prasekolah pada Orang Tua

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh pelatihan “Tenangkan Tantrum, Kendalikan Layar” terhadap penerapan restrictive mediation pada orang tua dengan anak usia pra-sekolah (3–6 tahun). Masalah utama yang diangkat adalah meningkatnya penggunaan screen time dan kemunculan temper tantrum ketika anak dibatasi dari layar. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimen within-subject dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, diikuti oleh 18 orang tua yang menjalani dua sesi pelatihan berbasis experiential learning dan berlokasi di Depok, Jawa Barat. Dalam penelitian ini, terdapat dua variabel utama. Variabel independennya adalah program training “Tenangkan Tantrum, Kendalikan Layar” yang dirancang menggunakan pendekatan experiential learning dan ditujukan kepada orang tua dengan anak usia 3–6 tahun. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan alat ukur Media Parenting (MEPA) yang telah diadaptasi, dan diolah dengan Wilcoxon Signed Ranked Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam penerapan restrictive mediation setelah pelatihan. Orang tua menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dalam menghadapi tantrum dan keterampilan menetapkan aturan penggunaan gadget. Pelatihan ini terbukti efektif dalam membantu orang tua menerapkan strategi pengasuhan yang lebih tegas dan adaptif dalam menghadapi tantangan pengasuhan di era digital.
