Eksplorasi Active Learning Berbasis Loose Parts dalam Pendekatan HighScope untuk Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Anak Usia Dini

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan eksplorasi active learning berbasis loose parts dalam pendekatan HighScope pada pendidikan anak usia dini. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan melibatkan 27 anak usia dini dan 2 guru sebagai informan utama. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis melalui tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis loose parts meningkatkan motivasi dan partisipasi anak selama kegiatan kelas. Anak menjadi lebih antusias dalam belajar, lebih aktif menyelesaikan tugas, lebih percaya diri saat mempresentasikan hasil karya, serta lebih mampu berinteraksi dan bekerja sama dengan teman sebaya. Tahapan plan-do-review dalam pendekatan HighScope memberikan kesempatan kepada anak untuk memilih, mengeksplorasi, dan merefleksikan pengalaman belajar secara langsung sehingga pembelajaran menjadi lebih bermakna dan kontekstual. Selain itu, penggunaan loose parts yang dekat dengan kehidupan sehari-hari anak menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih menarik, kreatif, menyenangkan, dan partisipatif sehingga mendukung perkembangan sosial, emosional, dan kognitif anak usia dini secara optimal.
