Penggunaan Binatang Peliharaan dalam Pembelajaran Literasi dan Kecerdasan Alam Anak

Abstract
Kemampuan literasi anak merupakan hal yang penting untuk diperhatikan dalam perkembangan awal mereka karena pentingnya sebagai landasan bagi pendidikan jenjang selanjutnya. Di sisi lain, anak-anak memiliki rasa ingin tahu yang tinggi dan memiliki ketertarikan yang cukup besar terhadap binatang, sehingga memudahkan mereka dalam rangka menambah pengetahuan di bidang kecerdasan alami. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji metode pengembangan literasi dan kecerdasan alami anak dengan menggunakan hewan peliharaan sebagai media hidup. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif studi kasus yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan literasi dan kecerdasan alam pada anak-anak melalui interaksi langsung dengan hewan peliharaan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara. Wawancara dilakukan dengan guru kelas untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai perkembangan literasi dan kecerdasan alami anak sebelum dan sesudah interaksi dengan hewan peliharaan. Subyek penelitian adalah anak usia 5 sampai 6 tahun di TK Petra 9 kelas B1 dan B2. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa tidak hanya penggunaan binatang peliharaan dapat membantu dalam pembelajaran literasi dan kecerdasan alam anak, tetapi juga dapat secara signifik menginkatkan semangat belajar anak. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat mendeskripsikan secara komprehensif peningkatan kemampuan literasi dan pengetahuan tentang hewan pada anak-anak melalui metode pengenalan hewan peliharaan secara langsung.
