Analisis Isi Novel “Mama, Aku Lulus” Sebagai Media Edukasi Bagi Orang Tua AUD dengan Autisme

Abstract

Orang tua sering menghadapi berbagai tantangan dalam mengasuh anak usia dini dengan autisme, termasuk kebutuhan akan informasi tentang autisme dan penanganannya. Diperlukan media edukasi  untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan motivasi orang tua dalam merawat anak dengan autisme. novel “Mama, Aku Lulus” dapat menjadi alternatif media edukasi berdasarkan kontennya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis isi novel “Mama, Aku Lulus” sebagai dasar rekomendasi untuk menjadi media edukasi bagi orang tua anak usia dini dengan autisme. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi dokumentasi dan studi literatur, kemudian data dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif  dengan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data dan pengambilan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) sinopsis novel “Mama, Aku Lulus” mengimplikasikan pentingnya ketekunan dan kesabaran dalam menghadapi tantangan pengasuhan anak autis, (2) karakter tokoh tersaji sebagai model peran bagi orang tua dalam memberikan pengasuhan efektif pada anak autis, (3) isi novel memuat berbagai pesan moral yang dapat menjadi pedoman bagi orang tua dalam mengasuh anak autis, dan (4) memenuhi kriteria sebagai media edukasi bagi orang tua. Dengan demikian, hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi acuan bagi peneliti selanjutnya untuk menguji efektivitas media edukasi berupa novel dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan orang tua terkait pengasuhan anak dengan autisme.
